In the 4thth minute of the game Jarrett Jeffress who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moyreisk's Eliot Shirdon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 11 played minutes New Gen FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Jeffress. Birrell Kreck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Giddey having to interfere. When Blake Nobes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the New Gen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blake Nobes couldn't finish the play. Eliot Shirdon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jarrett Jeffress's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Jarrett Jeffress received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eliot Shirdon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Moyreisk's goal looked a bit too open when Blake Nobes came free, but Eliot Shirdon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jessop Dowling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Herbert Starling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliot Shirdon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarrett Jeffress, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Paco Giddey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brand Ross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Andrews Featon put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of New Gen FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Moyreisk:s goal. The goalkeeper, Paco Giddey, was totally fooled by Moyreisk's Karl Colman, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brand Ross made a kick off. When Brand Ross fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moyreisk's protests and gave Brand Ross a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Moyreisk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brand Ross to maneuver through the defense. Moyreisk's Birrell Kreck got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliot Shirdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jessop Dowling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blake Nobes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes of play, New Gen FC's Herbert Starling made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliot Shirdon was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Blake Nobes got free with Eliot Shirdon in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moyreisk's Eliot Shirdon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Malacarne in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Moyreisk got a freekick which was hit by Karl Colman. If Boyde Ashby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Moyreisk's zone, Blake Nobes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliot Shirdon came out of the goal and Blake Nobes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Moyreisk's Eliot Shirdon got control of the ball when Blake Nobes tried to sneak it across the goal line.
