Kirby Stebbing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Awage, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th match minute, Kayuga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Sibbold to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lowrey Duggan in the 9th minute of play forced Kayuga's goalkeeper Kirby Stebbing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Dean Haydock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Kevin Awage sped through Kayuga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kirby Stebbing. 42 minutes into the match, Kayuga's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Chamberlain came free, but Kirby Stebbing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Awage scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kirby Stebbing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Ruby getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Edwardo Quinnell hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dario Chamberlain made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ruby's Tiger Allcock got a free kick in the 51st minute. Dan Mills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cain Digiuseppe, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 70th minute Belton Sobczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Mills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Dario Chamberlain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Chamberlain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevin Awages short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Kirby Stebbing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dario Chamberlain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Kayuga's goalkeeper Kirby Stebbing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Awage. In the 80th minute, Paco Mckinley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd match minute, Ruby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwardo Quinnell to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Dario Chamberlain recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kirby Stebbing. Dario Chamberlain showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. After a defensive mix-up in Kayuga's zone, Dario Chamberlain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirby Stebbing came out of the goal and Dario Chamberlain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Dario Chamberlain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kirby Stebbing was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the game, Dario Chamberlain lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Kirby Stebbing. Ruby's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
