Long Woods made an important save on a dangerous shot by Case Staggard in the 5th minute. Russel Nelson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonty See's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Highett's goal looked a bit too open when Jonty See came free, but Russel Nelson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 played minutes Outliers got a freekick which was hit by Cregan Sugden. The audience was convinced that Jonty See's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Russel Nelson was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Jonty See sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Outliers's Jonty See got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonty See fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russel Nelson having to interfere. If Gregg Barugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jonty See put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Russel Nelson. Cregan Sugden's late challenge caught a Highett's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cregan Sugden helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 57th match minute, Highett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blake Harkness to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Jonty See reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Russel Nelson. The goal made the score 0-3. After 66 played minutes Outliers got a freekick which was hit by Cregan Sugden. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Jonty See put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Russel Nelson. Jonty See fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russel Nelson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonty See got free with Russel Nelson in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregg Barugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Outliers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Highett throughout the match.
