Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carsyn Ashwin in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Long Woods prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Neale Peach managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Outliers's Jonty See fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neale Peach made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Jonty See sent off a good shot on target. Jonty See received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Neale Peach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Todd Glover scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Long Woods, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Outliers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PEI United:s goal. Carsyn Ashwin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Jarrett Schutt lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in PEI United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jonty See managed to get in a good position for a shot. Outliers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonty See was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neale Peach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gregg Barugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Neale Peach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neale Peach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonty See went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonty See made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Baxter Algoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PEI United's Neale Peach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonty See in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonty See in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. PEI United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Neale Peach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonty See in the 70th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Gregg Barugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carsyn Ashwin struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Long Woods didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEI United. After 92 minutes, Brendan Holdsworth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Outliers and the PEI United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Outliers getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Brendan Holdsworth hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Pearce Legg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
