Gracemere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St Georges Basin United the free kick. Murdock Everett hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Murdock Everett was shown his second yellow card after 13 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Gracemere getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Murdock Everett hit a great ball. Jacob Groves hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Barnett Maybury charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barnett Maybury the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes St Georges Basin United got a freekick which was hit by Barnett Maybury. After 21 minutes, Jacob Groves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gracemere and the St Georges Basin United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacob Groves hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ian Sparks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ray Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Sparks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernie Gilding during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in St Georges Basin United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Battle Death placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Gracemere's Ray Clist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradshaw Heys in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Bradshaw Heys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Georges Basin United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradshaw Heys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ian Sparks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ray Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradshaw Heys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Clist having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradshaw Heys was the one to do the kick off. Ray Clist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bryce Gummow. In the 55th match minute, St Georges Basin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cregan Adamson to maneuver through the defense. Henry Hanslow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brown Unicomb in the 57th minute of the match. Dakota Lord kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, St Georges Basin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evan Groves to maneuver through the defense. Bradshaw Heys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradshaw Heys struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ray Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Georges Basin United. Jess Blestowe might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henry Hanslow. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jess Blestowe ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brown Unicomb in the 81st minute of play forced St Georges Basin United's goalkeeper Henry Hanslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brown Unicomb came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gracemere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brown Unicomb couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, St Georges Basin United's Evan Groves got a free kick in the 84th minute. Bradshaw Heys succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 91st playminute. Ray Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradshaw Heys in the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. St Georges Basin United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
