Spectators: 8056 (Terracing: 6043, Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 160) In the 8th minute Todd Glover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarvis Oreilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Rolando Riley in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jarvis Oreilly made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pearce Legg in the 14th minute. Carsyn Ashwin took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarvis Oreilly. Jarvis Oreilly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Riley in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neale Peach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Riley might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neale Peach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolando Riley ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, Oberne's goal looked a bit too open when Carsyn Ashwin came free, but Jarvis Oreilly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarvis Oreilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearce Legg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Oberne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Magnay to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Todd Glover fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jarvis Oreilly, passed just outside the right post. Hale Fitton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neale Peach having to interfere. Rolando Riley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute of the match, Todd Glover tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jarvis Oreilly saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The wind increased when Carsyn Ashwin made the kick off in the second half. Todd Glover scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarvis Oreilly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsyn Ashwin in the 58th minute of play forced Oberne's goalkeeper Jarvis Oreilly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Todd Glover left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PEI United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 69 minutes into the game, PEI United's Pearce Legg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarvis Oreilly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 72nd minute, Todd Glover made a precise shot to the right of Jarvis Oreilly. Oberne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Jarrett Schutt kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Rolando Riley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarvis Oreilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Glover, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsyn Ashwin in the 85th minute of play forced Oberne's goalkeeper Jarvis Oreilly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarvis Oreilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Glover in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Rolando Riley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberne's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Riley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neale Peach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to PEI United getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bran Haydock hit a great ball. PEI United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
