When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Todd Glover sped through FC Heidenheim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Braedan Argoud. 12 minutes into the match, Todd Glover notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Heidenheim's Braedan Argoud. Braedan Argoud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Todd Glover might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braedan Argoud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd Glover ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Carsyn Ashwin made a precise shot to the right of Braedan Argoud. FC Heidenheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, PEI United's Todd Glover sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Braedan Argoud narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carsyn Ashwin in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Braedan Argoud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 37 minutes, Carsyn Ashwin made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Heidenheim's Braedan Argoud tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 played minutes FC Heidenheim got a freekick which was hit by Brye Legg. When Todd Glover came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the PEI United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Todd Glover couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brye Legg to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brye Legg in the 51st minute of play forced PEI United's goalkeeper Neale Peach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neale Peach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brye Legg in the 51st minute of play. Brye Legg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carsyn Ashwin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 55th playminute. If Arnold Mcjenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Mcjenkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neale Peach having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, PEI United's goal looked a bit too open when Brye Legg came free, but Neale Peach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Heidenheim's Otto Weeks pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Marshall Sobezak's late challenge caught a FC Heidenheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marshall Sobezak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, PEI United's Marshall Sobezak got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Todd Glover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Heidenheim's Braedan Argoud got control of the ball when Carsyn Ashwin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Todd Glover had several of the FC Heidenheim's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Braedan Argoud as he didn't even see the shot coming. Braedan Argoud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carsyn Ashwin in the 82nd minute. If Todd Glover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herman Willding's late challenge caught a PEI United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Willding helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Heidenheim getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Herman Willding hit a great ball.
