Gracemere's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Nathan Locke scored to the left of an out of position Ray Clist, making the score, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Alberto Freeman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ray Clist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gracemere's Ray Clist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gracemere from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 52nd minute, Murdock Everett made a precise shot to the right of Lowrey Richard. WAI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Brown Unicomb hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jeffray Calver charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffray Calver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gracemere's Jeffray Calver got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ray Clist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Freeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, WAI's goal looked a bit too open when Jess Blestowe came free, but Lowrey Richard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The WAI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.
