After 22 minutes of play, Outliers's Jonty See made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ray Clist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Outliers's Gregg Barugh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ray Clist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ray Clist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonty See went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Outliers booed when Gracemere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Groves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ray Clist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonty See's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Outliers's Tom Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ray Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonty See in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gracemere defense, Gregg Barugh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ray Clist. The Gracemere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ray Clist should have stopped the shot. Ray Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonty See in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Gregg Barugh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Outliers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The supporters of Gracemere booed when Outliers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregg Barugh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonty See made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Jonty See got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ray Clist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gregg Barugh scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Clist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angus Brophy got free with Ray Clist in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gregg Barugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Clist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonty See went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. When Outliers's Cregan Sugden in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gracemere's goalie prevented a goal. Jonty See fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Clist having to interfere. When Jonty See came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Outliers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonty See couldn't finish the play. Gracemere's Ray Clist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonty See in the 84th minute of play. Gregg Barugh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ray Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Clist made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Jonty See sent off a good shot on target. Ray Clist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brendan Holdsworth showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 88 minute of play. Outliers played a much better game than Gracemere and deserved their victory. The Gracemere players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
