Barnett Maybury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Russel Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Bradshaw Heys notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Highett's Russel Nelson. Russel Nelson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the game, Highett's Brayden Todman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Hanslow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The wind increased when Case Staggard made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradshaw Heys in the 52nd minute of play forced Highett's goalkeeper Russel Nelson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Sparks blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Russel Nelson having to make a save. In the 56th match minute, Highett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blake Harkness to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Brynn Shorten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 minutes of play, Highett's Blake Harkness made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Hanslow was left in no man's land by his defense there!
