In the 6th match minute, Azure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Whittington to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Flisfeder hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Todd Glover received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Corbett Sobczak came out and tried to block the shot, but Todd Glover slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarrett Mckinley during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Azure FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Mckinley. Corbett Sobczak made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Carsyn Ashwin sent off a good shot on target. When Carsyn Ashwin came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the PEI United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carsyn Ashwin couldn't finish the play. In the 27th match minute, Azure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Flisfeder to maneuver through the defense. Carsyn Ashwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Corbett Sobczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PEI United's Neale Peach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ike Schenck in the 33rd minute of play. Carsyn Ashwin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Corbett Sobczak made a huge save. Corbett Sobczak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carsyn Ashwin went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Todd Glover struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Corbett Sobczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEI United. Corbett Sobczak didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when PEI United's Todd Glover shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Preston Jeffress stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Azure FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Mckinley. Corbett Sobczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Glover in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, PEI United's Todd Glover nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corbett Sobczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Corbett Sobczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Glover, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. There was no doubt that PEI United were the better team. PEI United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
