The tension between the Azure FC and the Southern DeShaun players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Southern DeShaun booed when Azure FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Staworowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Southern DeShaun's Samuel Pack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Southern DeShaun from getting a goal against them. In the 27th match minute, Azure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Flisfeder to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Flisfeder helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Jonathan Flisfeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luck Bailey in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corbett Sobczak saved Azure FC from getting behind. If Preston Jeffress had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Southern DeShaun's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
