Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5993, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Matthew Moon made the kick off which started today's match. Case Staggard struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Daniel Kinnaird didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Highett. Case Staggard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Daniel Kinnaird tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brynn Shorten kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Jemmett Quinnell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Russel Nelson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Kinnaird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Haberle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthew Moon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes, Keysie Knights's Lowrey Hoey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Russel Nelson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Keysie Knights reached it. Brayden Todman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Daniel Kinnaird tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Howie during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Robert Howie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliot Rhoades's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Russel Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Brayden Todman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Kinnaird having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Keysie Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lowrey Hoey to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Case Staggard made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Arnold Cudmore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Keysie Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Highett the free kick. 52 minutes into the game, Case Staggard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Daniel Kinnaird was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Brynn Shorten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Case Staggard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Highett fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, Highett's goalkeeper Russel Nelson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliot Rhoades. In the 91st minute, Corbett Belford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Highett players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
