Gracemere's Jess Blestowe got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Jess Blestowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edison Fasey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brown Unicomb got free with Edison Fasey in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 minutes, Artie Haslem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perth Lynx and the Gracemere players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Perth Lynx's Artie Haslem got a free kick in the 18th minute. Earle Minne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ray Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jess Blestowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edison Fasey having to interfere. Bent Pfingst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ray Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bent Pfingst in the 33rd minute of the match. Artie Groves kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jess Blestowe made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Gracemere got a corner. Perth Lynx's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Battle Death ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bent Pfingst struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Ray Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perth Lynx. Ray Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earle Minne in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Jess Blestowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brown Unicomb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brown Unicomb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edison Fasey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brye Clark during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Perth Lynx defense, Brown Unicomb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edison Fasey. The Perth Lynx fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edison Fasey should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Brown Unicomb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Munroe Gledden kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute of the match Battle Death sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edison Fasey skillfully saved the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gracemere had played much better football throughout.
