Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kane Ashwin kicked off to start the match. Ben Minton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kane Ashwin in the 11th minute of the match. Brett Heberle came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jayden Magrath could save by the left post. Jayden Magrath made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Brett Heberle sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Bickford Flisfeder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jayden Magrath. Cooneel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bickford Flisfeder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Brett Heberle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Quagitup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Downing Shorten to maneuver through the defense. Kane Ashwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ben Minton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ben Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjorn Goucher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kane Ashwin might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ben Minton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kane Ashwin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bickford Flisfeder in the 42nd minute of play forced Cooneel's goalkeeper Jayden Magrath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quagitup! Ben Minton went to the wrong direction when Abbott Rose was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacosta Ward in the 53rd minute of play forced Quagitup's goalkeeper Ben Minton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kane Ashwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Neil Pike was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quagitup's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cooneel the free kick. Ben Minton acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abbott Rose. Dacosta Ward recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kane Ashwin in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ben Minton saved Quagitup from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Quagitup's zone, Dacosta Ward stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Minton came out of the goal and Dacosta Ward tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dacosta Ward hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Bickford Flisfeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Cooneel defense, Brett Heberle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jayden Magrath. The Cooneel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jayden Magrath should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Brett Heberle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jayden Magrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes Quagitup got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Cookesley. The Quagitup players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
