Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rudy Macumber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Dapto's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Archie Awage fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Phillip Fynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Pickhills having to interfere. The supporters of Jumbuk booed when Dapto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryce Malacarne didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Jumbuk's Barry Pickhills threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rudy Macumber, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 13 minutes into the game, Bryce Malacarne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dapto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jumbuk the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dapto's Bryce Malacarne got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Rudy Macumber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barry Pickhills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Macumber in the 20th minute of play. Barney Pukallus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Keefe Samuels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudy Macumber had several of the Dapto's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Barry Pickhills as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jumbuk's Rudy Macumber got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Archie Awage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barry Pickhills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Macumber in the 42nd minute of the match. Keefe Samuels came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Dapto's Berne Gilding. But to his dismay, Berne Gilding quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berne Gilding made a kick off. Barry Pickhills stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudy Macumber's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Jumbuk got a freekick which was hit by Archie Awage. A collision led to Dapto getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Stephan Mcmanamny hit a great ball. Archie Awage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Rudy Macumber notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Dapto's Barry Pickhills. Barry Pickhills was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barry Pickhills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Macumber, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Rudy Macumber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Archie Awage struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Barry Pickhills didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jumbuk. In the 79th minute Rudy Macumber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Pickhills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barry Pickhills took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Macumber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudy Macumber struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Barry Pickhills didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jumbuk. When Jumbuk's Rudy Macumber in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dapto's goalie prevented a goal. Barry Pickhills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Macumber in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jumbuk had played much better football throughout.
