Spectators: 7989 (Terracing: 5993, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bryan Pound started the match with the kick off. Club 4fun's Stew Breasley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kane Ashwin in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Kane Ashwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stew Breasley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Abraham Monson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stew Breasley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kane Ashwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kane Ashwin in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stew Breasley saved Club 4fun from getting behind. Everitt Pegrum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Stew Breasley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Abraham Monson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cooneel and the Club 4fun players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Abraham Monson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Club 4fun booed when Cooneel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kane Ashwin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kane Ashwin was the one to do the kick off. After 59 minutes of play, Cooneel's Kane Ashwin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stew Breasley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stew Breasley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everitt Pegrum in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Club 4fun's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kane Ashwin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 73rd minute Kane Ashwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stew Breasley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Everitt Pegrum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cooneel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everitt Pegrum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Kane Ashwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stew Breasley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kirby Skittrall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jayden Magrath read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Everitt Pegrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stew Breasley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everitt Pegrum in the 91st minute of play. Club 4fun's Stew Breasley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kane Ashwin in the 95th minute of play. Cooneel were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Club 4fun's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abbott Rose took the corner. Cooneel were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Club 4fun's much stronger midfield.
