Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stew Magrath kicked off to start the match. Edwards Franklin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Byron Connolly having to make a save. Byron Connolly made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Amos Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes in the game, Edwards Franklin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Byron Connolly having to interfere. Amos Kinsey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Byron Connolly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Tommy Virgin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Magrath in the 23rd minute of play. Angelo Bielski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Edwards Franklin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Byron Connolly. Hamos Heroes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwards Franklin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tommy Virgin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Magrath in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Edwards Franklin made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwards Franklin in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byron Connolly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Hamos Heroes's goal looked a bit too open when Edwards Franklin came free, but Byron Connolly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Duffield's Tommy Virgin got control of the ball when Baxter Limmer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamos Heroes's Humphry Oconnell suffered a concussion after 56 minutes and had to leave the field. After 56 minutes, Samuel Mills mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duffield and the Hamos Heroes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Duffield getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Samuel Mills hit a great ball. If Edwards Franklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Kinsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute Amos Kinsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Byron Connolly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Duffield's Ryan Tisdell got a free kick in the 79th minute. Duffield's Edwards Franklin got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edwards Franklin came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Duffield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwards Franklin couldn't finish the play. Byron Connolly didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amos Kinsey went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Hamos Heroes's Byron Connolly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Kinsey in the 96th minute of play.
