In the 93rd minute of the match, Angelo Bielski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Damian Salcedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 95 minutes into the match, Duffield's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Lingwoodock came free, but Tommy Virgin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Kentville fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Kentville's Hans Lingwoodock looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Duffield players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
