Duke Trevena's late challenge caught a Dreamers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duke Trevena helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Cuthbert got a freekick which was hit by Duke Trevena. The audience was convinced that Ozzie Rosenboom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierre Colling was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 40th match minute, Cuthbert was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Quinn to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Cuthbert's goal looked a bit too open when Ozzie Rosenboom came free, but Pierre Colling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loyd Clarke to make the kick off. When Brendan Weller came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Dreamers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendan Weller couldn't finish the play. Benard Solomon hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cuthbert's Art Gaffigan got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierre Colling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brendan Weller in the 67th minute. When Duke Trevena was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. A collision led to Cuthbert getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Duke Trevena hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Brendan Weller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cuthbert's Pierre Colling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ozzie Rosenboom in the 78th minute of play. Loyd Clarke kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dreamers FC's goalkeeper Carson Perrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Karl Waters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dreamers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuthbert the free kick. When the final whistle sounded Dreamers FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cuthbert.
