Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Handley Greenbank took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Ryan Tisdell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duffield and the Backpacker FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ryan Tisdell hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Paz Staggard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amos Kinsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Andy Belford made a huge save. Edwards Franklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amos Kinsey struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Andy Belford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duffield. Edwards Franklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Belford having to interfere. Amos Kinsey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andy Belford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Edwards Franklin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andy Belford having to make a save. If Edwards Franklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edwards Franklin to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwards Franklin in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andy Belford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amos Kinsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Andy Belford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes in the game, Edwards Franklin dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Amos Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Belford having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Edwards Franklin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Backpacker FC's Andy Belford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Backpacker FC's zone, Edwards Franklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Belford came out of the goal and Edwards Franklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bert Stanton kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, one of Backpacker FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Backpacker FC. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Duffield. Bryson Phillips stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andy Belford. 1-0. When Amos Kinsey came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Duffield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Kinsey couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Duffield booed when Backpacker FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Sennett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Backpacker FC's zone, Edwards Franklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Belford came out of the goal and Edwards Franklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edwards Franklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Belford having to interfere. Andy Belford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Bielski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Belford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Kinsey in the 88th minute of play. Edwards Franklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Belford having to interfere. If Edwards Franklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Belford having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Duffield players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
