The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute, Bernard Schulze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telita's Nathaniel Quinn got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernard Schulze came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thomas Mccarthy could save by the left post. Thomas Mccarthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Quinn, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Bernard Schulze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Telita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard Schulze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Antwerp getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Archie Hollis hit a great ball. Thomas Mccarthy was a little too slow when Nathaniel Quinn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. Bernard Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Mccarthy having to interfere. If Zackery Heathwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Zackery Heathwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedict Orvad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bernard Schulze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Mccarthy having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Doyle Alves made a precise shot to the right of Benedict Orvad. Telita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathaniel Quinn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Nathaniel Quinn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Mccarthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathaniel Quinn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Thomas Mccarthy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nathaniel Quinn in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Mccarthy saved Antwerp from getting behind. Berke Haslett kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Antwerp getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Archie Hollis hit a great ball. Thomas Mccarthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell Sennett, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Dalton Fenwick's late challenge caught a Telita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalton Fenwick helped the player get up and apologised. When Telita's Bernard Schulze in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Antwerp's goalie prevented a goal. If Doyle Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Antwerp supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Antwerp would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
