In the 10th minute, Samuel Mills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bob Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Mills in the 34th minute of play. Amos Kinsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bob Connell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amos Kinsey ran back to his position shaking his head. Bob Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwards Franklin in the 36th minute of play. Edwards Franklin got in the 45th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Bob Connell handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.

In the 60th minute Edwards Franklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amos Kinsey's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Bob Connell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 65th minute Ringo Jeavons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Virgin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ringo Jeavons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tommy Virgin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Duffield's goal looked a bit too open when David Worrall came free, but Tommy Virgin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Duffield defense, Ringo Jeavons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Virgin. The Duffield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Virgin should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Amos Kinsey made a precise shot to the right of Bob Connell. Knights Templar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Angelo Bielski kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Ringo Jeavons came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Knights Templar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ringo Jeavons couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biddle Laughton in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Virgin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If David Worrall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Virgin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Worrall in the 92nd minute of the match. Bob Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwards Franklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
