The audience was convinced that Damon Barugh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Byron Connolly was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Ren Laycock kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Grant Bowen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Damon Barugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant Bowen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Connolly having to interfere. Edmonds Hands didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stew Magrath went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Byron Connolly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Bowen in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Ren Laycock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamos Heroes's Baxter Limmer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmonds Hands. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. Stew Magrath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Hands having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stew Magrath made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hamos Heroes's zone, Damon Barugh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Byron Connolly came out of the goal and Damon Barugh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Grant Bowen notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Hamos Heroes's Byron Connolly. Byron Connolly was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Byron Connolly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Barugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Hamos Heroes's goalkeeper Byron Connolly had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grant Bowen. In the 69th minute, Baxter Limmer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmonds Hands was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After a rather tough play, Hamos Heroes's Ren Laycock got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Baxter Limmer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamos Heroes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Earlston the free kick. Kelvin Nunn charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kelvin Nunn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kelvin Nunn kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Humphry Oconnell's late challenge caught a Earlston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humphry Oconnell helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Hamos Heroes got a freekick which was hit by Humphry Oconnell. Edmonds Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baxter Limmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lewis Munster fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Earlston's protests and gave Lewis Munster a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Earlston got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Munster. Grant Bowen hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. If Baxter Limmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
