But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Worrall couldn't finish the play. Kale Bromfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herman Freeman let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 29th minute shot 3-0 at rihgt post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Knights Templar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Kale Bromfield shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Herman Freeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Irrintzi Toribia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bob Connell, 4-0. Kale Bromfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talha Çeliksu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes Knights Templar got a freekick which was hit by Al Freeman. After having played for 44 minutes, Herman Freeman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Geelong Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Freeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Herman Freeman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Connell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. When Ringo Jeavons came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Knights Templar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ringo Jeavons couldn't finish the play. After having played for 91 minutes, Kale Bromfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
