The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Art Gaffigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Thomas Mccarthy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antwerp's Thomas Mccarthy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loyd Clarke in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Antwerp's zone, Loyd Clarke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Mccarthy came out of the goal and Loyd Clarke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Art Gaffigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackery Heathwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antwerp's Zackery Heathwood got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loyd Clarke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loyd Clarke in the 55th minute of play forced Antwerp's goalkeeper Thomas Mccarthy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Mccarthy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loyd Clarke, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Antwerp's Zackery Heathwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre Colling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuthbert's goalkeeper Pierre Colling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doyle Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Colling having to interfere. Nicholas Kile hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Zackery Heathwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cuthbert's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
