Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) Damon Barugh started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Edwards Franklin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmonds Hands. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damon Barugh in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Virgin saved Duffield from getting behind. If Edwards Franklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duffield's Edwards Franklin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmonds Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Kinsey in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Edwards Franklin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Earlston's Edmonds Hands was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Edwards Franklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amos Kinsey scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmonds Hands, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmonds Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amos Kinsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Edwards Franklin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Edmonds Hands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amos Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Hands having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Earlston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarvis Crawford to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes of play, Duffield's Amos Kinsey made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmonds Hands was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwards Franklin made a kick off. Edmonds Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwards Franklin in the 52nd minute of the match. Edmonds Hands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwards Franklin's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Edmonds Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwards Franklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Edmonds Hands made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Amos Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Duffield booed when Earlston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarvis Crawford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Though ot was a great shot Earlston's keeper Edmonds Hands was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 66 minutes into the match, Earlston's goalkeeper Edmonds Hands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Kinsey. After having played for 67 minutes, Damon Barugh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Earlston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damon Barugh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Earlston's Damon Barugh got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Angelo Bielski fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duffield's protests and gave Angelo Bielski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Duffield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Bielski to maneuver through the defense. Amos Kinsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Edmonds Hands made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Amos Kinsey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duffield's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Kinsey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmonds Hands breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Earlston's zone, Edwards Franklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmonds Hands came out of the goal and Edwards Franklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duffield's Tommy Virgin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Barugh in the 97th minute of play. The Earlston fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Duffield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
