Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John Miller started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Paz Heberle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lalla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paz Heberle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Jeffers Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Randolph Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Randolph Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brannan Serena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Brooker Haslett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mayfield's Brannan Serena got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paz Heberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darin Norton kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jemmett Woodbridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Niles Malacarne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Lalla's Paz Heberle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niles Malacarne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mayfield's Brannan Serena got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichol Skurrie during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mayfield's Nichol Skurrie got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Lalla's Paz Heberle fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jemmett Woodbridge made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Brannan Serena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Darin Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Lalla's Jemmett Woodbridge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niles Malacarne. Niles Malacarne yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Niles Malacarne came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Lalla's Paz Heberle. But to his dismay, Paz Heberle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Lalla's Bernie Marsland got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Miller in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brooker Haslett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, Brannan Serena notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Lalla's Brooker Haslett. Brooker Haslett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, John Miller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayfield's supporters rose to their feet, but John Miller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brooker Haslett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brannan Serena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, John Miller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niles Malacarne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jemmett Woodbridge in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Jemmett Woodbridge dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niles Malacarne, 1-4. 98 minutes into the match, Mayfield's goal looked a bit too open when Jemmett Woodbridge came free, but Niles Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Lalla could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mayfield throughout the match.
