The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanley Brophy got free with Elliott Baxter in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Duncan Stageman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Convicts's Elliott Baxter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Hanslow in the 75th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Convicts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brye Johnson to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Milton Hanslow lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Elliott Baxter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Hanslow in the 83rd minute of play forced Convicts's goalkeeper Elliott Baxter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Stanley Brophy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Green Sheep's Stanley Brophy got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brook Paynter hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Green Sheep's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
