With an extended leg and a bit of luck Munroe Shipman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Jarvis Inwood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Munroe Shipman. Hop Skip Jump's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarvis Inwood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Munroe Shipman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartholemew Unicomb in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Gunyah's Jarvis Inwood sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Munroe Shipman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jayden Dowsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Hislop having to interfere. Hop Skip Jump's Munroe Shipman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarvis Inwood in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Luke Mcgaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Aden Fortington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunyah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aden Fortington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Munroe Shipman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Hop Skip Jump getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Luke Mcgaw hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Jarvis Inwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gunyah fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Jarvis Inwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Munroe Shipman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarvis Inwood in the 44th minute of play. Jarvis Inwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Munroe Shipman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Hop Skip Jump players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gunyah were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aden Fortington stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aden Fortington in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The supporters of Gunyah booed when Hop Skip Jump was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrance Will didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Hop Skip Jump's goalkeeper Munroe Shipman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarvis Inwood. Jarvis Inwood in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Munroe Shipman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lawrance Will's late challenge caught a Gunyah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lawrance Will helped the player get up and apologised. Munroe Shipman made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jarvis Inwood sent off a good shot on target. Dave Hislop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Boots, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jarvis Inwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munroe Shipman having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Aden Fortington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Munroe Shipman was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Lawrance Will hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarvis Inwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munroe Shipman having to interfere. With a little luck, Hop Skip Jump's Munroe Shipman got control of the ball when Jarvis Inwood tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute Aden Fortington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Munroe Shipman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jayden Dowsing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunyah played a much better game than Hop Skip Jump and deserved their victory. The Hop Skip Jump players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
