An unexpectedly hard shot by Cain Weller in the 3rd minute of play forced Pilbara Palisades's goalkeeper Hal Hursey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arne Willding fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurulmundi's protests and gave Arne Willding a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gurulmundi getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arne Willding hit a great ball. After 13 minutes of play Gurulmundi's Arne Willding was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Arne Willding hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Jason Adamson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Navarro Duggan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hal Hursey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cain Weller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cain Weller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hal Hursey having to interfere. A collision led to Pilbara Palisades getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dani Block hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Gurulmundi got a freekick which was hit by Allen Lucas. A hard shot by Jason Adamson from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Navarro Duggan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Thomas Christini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Cain Weller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gurulmundi booed when Pilbara Palisades was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Ritter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cain Weller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hal Hursey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nash Pears, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Cain Weller struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Hal Hursey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gurulmundi. After 62 played minutes Allen Lucas rounded Pilbara Palisades's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Hal Hursey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nash Pears in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Pilbara Palisades was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dani Block to maneuver through the defense. Hal Hursey made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cain Weller sent off a good shot on target. Cain Weller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dakota Ritter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Navarro Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Gurulmundi got a freekick which was hit by Nash Pears. 78 minutes into the match, Pilbara Palisades's goalkeeper Hal Hursey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cain Weller. Allen Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hal Hursey made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Rodney Loch sent off a good shot on target. During the 88th minute of the match Rodney Loch completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rodney Loch a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Gurulmundi's Rodney Loch got a free kick in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Dakota Ritter notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gurulmundi's Navarro Duggan. Navarro Duggan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Dakota Ritter came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Pilbara Palisades fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dakota Ritter couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
