In the 17th minute Jayden Dowsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Duggan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gurulmundi's Cain Weller got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Munroe Shipman made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cain Weller sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute of the match Duffield Quinn sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Munroe Shipman skillfully saved the ball. Munroe Shipman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cain Weller in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hop Skip Jump's zone, Allen Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Munroe Shipman came out of the goal and Allen Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Allen Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allen Lucas hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gurulmundi getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Marco Berresford hit a great ball. Gurulmundi were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hop Skip Jump for a fine match.
