Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Green Sheep's Milton Hanslow started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Green Sheep's goalkeeper Donovan Batterham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mayfield's Nichol Skurrie got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Green Sheep's Milton Hanslow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niles Malacarne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Mayfield's Dacosta Murphy got a free kick in the 13th minute. Stanley Brophy struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Niles Malacarne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Sheep. Niles Malacarne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton Hanslow, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Stanley Brophy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanley Brophy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Stanley Brophy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niles Malacarne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Green Sheep were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Brannan Serena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Miller in the 54th minute of play forced Green Sheep's goalkeeper Donovan Batterham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kent Rheistein fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Sheep's protests and gave Kent Rheistein a yellow card for diving instead. John Miller might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donovan Batterham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Miller ran back to his position shaking his head. Dario Belford hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Niles Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Hanslow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milton Hanslow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milton Hanslow received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Niles Malacarne came out and tried to block the shot, but Milton Hanslow slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. A hard shot 67 in the game by Stanley Brophy from a close distance when the talented Niles Malacarne managed to make a qualified save. Mayfield's players were relieved. John Miller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Batterham having to interfere. In the 81st minute Brannan Serena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Batterham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milton Hanslow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Stanley Brophy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niles Malacarne, 0-3.
