Douglas Stebbing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Munroe Shipman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Douglas Stebbing struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Munroe Shipman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for only whites. Brooker Cassilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jayden Dowsing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dean Markou kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to only whites getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Everitt Pinkerton hit a great ball. In the 21st match minute, only whites was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Mcgrath to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match Luke Mcgaw shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brooker Cassilly showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 23 minutes, Dean Markou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the only whites and the Hop Skip Jump players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes only whites got a freekick which was hit by Dean Markou. After having played for 29 minutes, Douglas Stebbing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. only whites's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Stebbing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Stephan Boots got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Douglas Stebbing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Munroe Shipman. Hop Skip Jump's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Stebbing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 46th minute Jayden Dowsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brooker Cassilly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Munroe Shipman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Markou in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jayden Dowsing to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Douglas Stebbing notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hop Skip Jump's Munroe Shipman. Munroe Shipman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Brooker Cassilly successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Stebbing in the 71st minute of play forced Hop Skip Jump's goalkeeper Munroe Shipman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bent Shirdon hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind only whites's goalkeeper Brooker Cassilly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Hop Skip Jump got a freekick which was hit by Jess Turnbull. Munroe Shipman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Stebbing in the 86th minute of play. Douglas Stebbing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munroe Shipman having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Hop Skip Jump's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Stebbing came free, but Munroe Shipman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Stebbing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Munroe Shipman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hop Skip Jump's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
