After some careless play in the Two Left Feet defense, Aden Fortington kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murdock Muddle. The Two Left Feet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murdock Muddle should have stopped the shot. Cullen Haberle struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Dave Hislop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Two Left Feet. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Two Left Feet's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Drew Bowen was slow to take the kick. During this time Gunyah's players had a chance to rest. Drew Bowen made a great header on Gunyah's corner, it was just that Two Left Feet's Murdock Muddle managed to reach the ball for a save. Dave Hislop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danton Orr, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Randall Brandie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dave Hislop came out and tried to block the shot, but Randall Brandie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. Two Left Feet's Murdock Muddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aden Fortington in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jarvis Inwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunyah's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarvis Inwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murdock Muddle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarvis Inwood's late challenge caught a Two Left Feet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarvis Inwood helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Jarvis Inwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Two Left Feet getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Reese Hicks hit a great ball. Aden Fortington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Murdock Muddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drew Bowen kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dave Hislop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randall Brandie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarvis Inwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Murdock Muddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aden Fortington stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Cullen Haberle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Two Left Feet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cullen Haberle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Two Left Feet booed when Gunyah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Hemsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cullen Haberle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Hislop having to interfere. Cullen Haberle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bartholemew Unicomb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Murdock Muddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gunyah booed when Two Left Feet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danton Mewburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murdock Muddle made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Drew Bowen sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st match minute, Gunyah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarvis Inwood to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Aden Fortington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarvis Inwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murdock Muddle having to interfere. Cullen Haberle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Hislop having to interfere. Aden Fortington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dave Hislop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Brandie, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
