When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bran Whittington made a kick off. Bran Whittington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allen Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Niles Malacarne made a huge save. Niles Malacarne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niles Malacarne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran Whittington in the 94th minute of play. John Miller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gurulmundi getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nash Pears hit a great ball. If Brannan Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mayfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gurulmundi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
