Barnabas Hayman hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Douglas Stebbing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cod Blackham's late challenge caught a only whites's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cod Blackham helped the player get up and apologised. Everitt Pinkerton struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Elliott Baxter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for only whites. In the 19th minute, Everitt Pinkerton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, only whites's Brooker Cassilly got control of the ball when Barnabas Hayman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Duncan Stageman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brooker Cassilly, 1-0. When Douglas Stebbing came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the only whites fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Stebbing couldn't finish the play. Brooker Cassilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Stageman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elliott Baxter came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by only whites's Dean Markou. But to his dismay, Dean Markou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 46 played minutes only whites got a freekick which was hit by Everitt Pinkerton. A collision led to Convicts getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Billy Rutledge hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duncan Stageman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to only whites getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dean Markou hit a great ball. When Dean Markou came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the only whites fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Markou couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Douglas Stebbing managed to get in a good position for a shot. only whites's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Stebbing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elliott Baxter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Stageman in the 62nd minute of play forced only whites's goalkeeper Brooker Cassilly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Cod Blackham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Convicts's George Hodge got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Douglas Stebbing fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Elliott Baxter, passed just outside the right post. Brooker Cassilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnabas Hayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Cod Blackham was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. The supporters of only whites booed when Convicts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cod Blackham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barnabas Hayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Douglas Stebbing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Stebbing in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elliott Baxter saved Convicts from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched only whites eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
