The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paz Heberle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Brooker Haslett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Brandie, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Randall Brandie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Brooker Haslett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Paz Heberle could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Murdock Muddle however easily saved by the left post. In the 36th minute, Randall Brandie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cullen Haberle might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brooker Haslett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cullen Haberle ran back to his position shaking his head. When Cullen Haberle came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Two Left Feet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cullen Haberle couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Lalla's Bernie Marsland got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 46 played minutes Two Left Feet got a freekick which was hit by Danton Mewburn. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 55th match minute, Lalla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernie Marsland to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Two Left Feet were awarded a corner. Darin Lunt went to the cornerflag to take it. Darin Lunt made a great header on Two Left Feet's corner, it was just that Lalla's Brooker Haslett managed to reach the ball for a save. If Paz Heberle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Murdock Muddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paz Heberle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jemmett Woodbridge fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lalla's protests and gave Jemmett Woodbridge a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lalla getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jemmett Woodbridge hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Danton Orr got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Randall Brandie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randall Brandie struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Brooker Haslett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Two Left Feet.
