Spectators: 6831 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 0) Stanley's Bath Colman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bill Lander hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes Stanley got a freekick which was hit by Bath Colman. Red Castle SC's Barnard Jury quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bryson Bridson, made in the 35th minute of the game. Stanley's Richard Durbin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorimer Duggan in the 37th minute of play. If Bath Colman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Red Castle SC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Stanley's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorimer Duggan took the corner. After taking down the ball on Red Castle SC's corner Lorimer Duggan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Richard Durbin quite easily take care of the ball. Richard Durbin made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Munroe Fortington sent off a good shot on target. Barnard Jury kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Stanley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryson Bridson to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Brooks Cawthorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Clarke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Brooks Cawthorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brooks Cawthorne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
