After some careless play in the Poneke defense, Reese Holdsworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Payne Hinder. The Poneke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Payne Hinder should have stopped the shot. Payne Hinder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reese Holdsworth in the 33rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reese Holdsworth made a kick off. Quincy Harding could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Payne Hinder made a huge save. Payne Hinder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Odonahoo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 58th match minute, Poneke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Reiter to maneuver through the defense. Payne Hinder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quincy Harding in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Brookong's goal looked a bit too open when Bryant Edwards came free, but Bran Devere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryant Edwards struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Bran Devere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poneke. Poneke's Payne Hinder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reese Holdsworth in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Brookong's zone, Bryant Edwards stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bran Devere came out of the goal and Bryant Edwards tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brookong's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
