Spectators: 8003 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bryant Edwards got the match started through his kick off. When Navin Kenack came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Halifax fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Navin Kenack couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Poneke's Allen Bouer got a free kick in the 4th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Halifax's Henry Turnor tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 10 played minutes Halifax got a freekick which was hit by Navin Kenack. Larry Playford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryant Edwards in the 22nd minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Corey Tout got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Larry Playford quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Larry Playford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryant Edwards's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30th play minutes Bryant Edwards shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Larry Playford and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Halifax's zone, Bryant Edwards stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Playford came out of the goal and Bryant Edwards tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Payne Hinder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duffield Gannan in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Bryant Edwards got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Arne Prinsep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Bryant Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poneke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryant Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Larry Coleman notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Poneke's Payne Hinder. Payne Hinder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bud Mcjenkins was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Bud Mcjenkins notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Poneke's Payne Hinder. Payne Hinder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Larry Playford made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Arne Prinsep sent off a good shot on target. Allen Bouer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes, Halifax's Henry Turnor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Payne Hinder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Halifax reached it. After 73 minutes of play, Halifax's Larry Coleman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Payne Hinder was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Poneke's zone, Navin Kenack stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Payne Hinder came out of the goal and Navin Kenack tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Allen Bouer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poneke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halifax the free kick. After 79 played minutes Poneke got a freekick which was hit by Allen Bouer. After a rather tough play, Poneke's Corey Tout got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Bryant Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bud Mcjenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bud Mcjenkins in the 90th minute of play forced Poneke's goalkeeper Payne Hinder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bud Mcjenkins took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Payne Hinder. Payne Hinder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.
