Spectators: 6950 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 150) Justin Mcvey started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goal looked a bit too open when Myles Death came free, but Bernie Surman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match BVB09 got a corner. Meruthera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Myles Death ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led BVB09's Jarrod Howie to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernie Surman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goal looked a bit too open when Myles Death came free, but Bernie Surman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Matthes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davey Guy, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Bernie Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Osbiston in the 14th minute of the match. Bernie Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Keam in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amos Keam in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernie Surman saved Meruthera from getting behind. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jarrod Howie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meruthera's Bernie Surman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernie Surman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Keam in the 25th minute of play. Bernie Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Keam in the 31st minute of the match. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Myles Death, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Matthes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evan Cridland in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Jarrod Howie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amos Keam took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernie Surman. Bernie Surman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 41stth minute of the game Patrick Osbiston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meruthera's Bernie Surman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amos Keam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Meruthera's zone, Jarrod Howie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernie Surman came out of the goal and Jarrod Howie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrod Howie came free, but Bernie Surman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Osbiston in the 47th minute of play forced Meruthera's goalkeeper Bernie Surman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Meruthera getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jemmett Babbage hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Myles Death stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bock Hart got free with Bernie Surman in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernie Surman came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by BVB09's Amos Keam. But to his dismay, Amos Keam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Bernie Surman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myles Death in the 61st minute of play. Amos Keam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Meruthera's zone, Patrick Osbiston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernie Surman came out of the goal and Patrick Osbiston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernie Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myles Death in the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jarrod Howie managed to get in a good position for a shot. BVB09's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarrod Howie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernie Surman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meruthera's goalkeeper Bernie Surman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henry Matthes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evan Cridland in the 86th minute of the match. If Patrick Osbiston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goalkeeper Bernie Surman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Keam. In the 94th match minute, BVB09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliot Beckwith to maneuver through the defense. Meruthera's Justin Mcvey got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. BVB09 played a much better game than Meruthera and deserved their victory. The Meruthera players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
