A collision led to Meruthera getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Justin Mcvey hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Red Castle SC's Edwardo Gillingwater got a free kick in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davey Guy during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Meruthera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davey Guy to maneuver through the defense. Andres Clarke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Cridland in the 27th minute of play. Barnard Jury hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, Red Castle SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnard Jury to maneuver through the defense. Edwardo Gillingwater's late challenge caught a Meruthera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwardo Gillingwater helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Red Castle SC got a freekick which was hit by Edwardo Gillingwater. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorimer Duggan was the one to do the kick off. Justin Mcvey did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Andres Clarke 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Meruthera booed when Red Castle SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes Red Castle SC got a freekick which was hit by Jemmett Durbin. After 80 played minutes Red Castle SC got a freekick which was hit by Bill Lander. Munroe Fortington missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 86 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Bernie Surman right hand side. Meruthera played a much better game than Red Castle SC and deserved their victory. The Red Castle SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
