After 13 played minutes Koumala FC got a freekick which was hit by Corey Tresise. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey Tresise in the 16th minute of play forced Poneke's goalkeeper Payne Hinder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jake Heathwood received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Payne Hinder came out and tried to block the shot, but Jake Heathwood slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Brayden Cudmore took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Payne Hinder to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Jeffers Rowden in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Koumala FC's Jonathan Millar. 25 minutes into the match, Jake Heathwood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Payne Hinder. Poneke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jake Heathwood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Biddle Saisell came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Koumala FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biddle Saisell couldn't finish the play. Koumala FC made a substitution. Jarrett Alchin replaced Brayden Cudmore. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Koumala FC had played much better football throughout.
