The tension between the Halifax and the Apunyal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Larry Playford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamese Aliendi in the 31st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brandes Huther during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Brandes Huther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobie Missen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Navin Kenack in the 34th minute of play. Larry Playford made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tobie Missen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Brock Weller. Tobie Missen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Navin Kenack in the 61st minute. Larry Playford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neville Kile in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Navin Kenack got free with Tobie Missen in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Navin Kenack could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Tobie Missen made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Halifax's goal looked a bit too open when Ray Allen came free, but Larry Playford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamese Aliendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Larry Playford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Larry Coleman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. If Jamese Aliendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute.
