Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bryant Edwards took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bath Colman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Payne Hinder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeffers Rowden during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Stanley booed when Poneke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffers Rowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes, Allen Bouer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poneke and the Stanley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allen Bouer hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Stanley's Anthony Didlick got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Arne Prinsep got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Poneke's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Bath Colman scored to the left of an out of position Payne Hinder, making the score, 1-0. Brooks Cawthorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Hinder having to interfere. Payne Hinder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bath Colman in the 23rd minute of the match. The Poneke fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Poneke's Bryant Edwards looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Payne Hinder was a little too slow when Bath Colman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 35th minute Bryant Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Durbin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allen Bouer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Durbin having to interfere. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Stanley. Bryanne Freel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Payne Hinder. 3-1. When Edison Beins came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Stanley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edison Beins couldn't finish the play.

After having played for 51 minutes, Bryant Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poneke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryant Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bryant Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Bryant Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Poneke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryant Edwards couldn't finish the play. Richard Durbin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryant Edwards's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. If Arne Prinsep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Durbin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryant Edwards in the 62nd minute. Arne Prinsep hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Poneke defense, Anthony Didlick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Payne Hinder. The Poneke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Payne Hinder should have stopped the shot. Bryant Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Corey Tout charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corey Tout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Poneke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corey Tout to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, one of Stanley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 88th minute Bryant Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Durbin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poneke's Allen Bouer got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bath Colman kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Arne Prinsep recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poneke's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Stanley had won, even though Poneke had held more of the ball.
