Lewis Alcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Mcvey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewis Alcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Cridland, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After having played for 5 minutes, Jerrard Willis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bamarong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerrard Willis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerrard Willis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Battle Rheistein fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 13 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goalkeeper Bernie Surman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerrard Willis. In the 16th minute Justin Mcvey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lewis Alcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lewis Alcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Cridland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evan Cridland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Alcock having to interfere. When Jemmett Babbage fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meruthera's protests and gave Jemmett Babbage a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Meruthera's Jemmett Babbage got a free kick in the 30th minute. Bernie Surman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bamarong's Battle Rheistein shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. If Hal Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Battle Rheistein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bamarong's supporters rose to their feet, but Battle Rheistein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernie Surman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Bamarong defense, Justin Mcvey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lewis Alcock. The Bamarong fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lewis Alcock should have stopped the shot.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Battle Rheistein made a kick off. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrard Willis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Battle Rheistein in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernie Surman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 59 minutes, Jerrard Willis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bamarong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerrard Willis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Meruthera getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jemmett Babbage hit a great ball. Bernie Surman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrard Willis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Davey Guy's late challenge caught a Bamarong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davey Guy helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barnes Keam during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bamarong booed when Meruthera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnes Keam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Battle Rheistein got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Battle Rheistein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Surman having to interfere. Birrell Callaghan hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Evan Cridland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meruthera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evan Cridland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justin Mcvey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Lewis Alcock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meruthera's Bernie Surman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrard Willis in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Ivan Lewry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bamarong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meruthera the free kick. Bernie Surman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Battle Rheistein's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Bamarong's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
