A hard shot by Peter Reiter from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Tobie Missen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arne Prinsep in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobie Missen saved Apunyal from getting behind. Jamese Aliendi took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Payne Hinder. Payne Hinder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Jamese Aliendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Payne Hinder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Poneke getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Arne Prinsep hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Jamese Aliendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Payne Hinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Neville Kile shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Payne Hinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Allen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Hinder having to interfere. Ray Allen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Payne Hinder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jamese Aliendi had several of the Poneke's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Payne Hinder as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Neville Kile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neville Kile in the 70th minute of play forced Poneke's goalkeeper Payne Hinder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Apunyal's zone, Bryant Edwards stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobie Missen came out of the goal and Bryant Edwards tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bryant Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brandes Huther during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Apunyal got a freekick which was hit by Brandes Huther. If Bryant Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Payne Hinder stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neville Kile's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Tobie Missen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Prinsep in the 85th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Apunyal's Jamese Aliendi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Payne Hinder. That made the score 0-4 after 87 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Apunyal's Pearce Devine got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Apunyal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
