If Justin Mcvey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute Evan Cridland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Devere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Brookong got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Odonahoo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Pegrum during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jack Pegrum kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Reese Holdsworth struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bernie Surman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brookong. Brookong's Quincy Harding got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Quincy Harding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brookong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Harding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justin Mcvey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bran Devere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evan Cridland in the 25th minute of the match. Justin Mcvey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Devere having to interfere. After 28 minutes of play, Meruthera's Evan Cridland made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bran Devere was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reese Holdsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reese Holdsworth to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reese Holdsworth in the 77th minute of play forced Meruthera's goalkeeper Bernie Surman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernie Surman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quincy Harding, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Quincy Harding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Quincy Harding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brookong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Harding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evan Cridland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bran Devere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Meruthera players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Brookong from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
