Spectators: 8010 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Larry Playford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brooks Cawthorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, Stanley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryson Bridson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Navin Kenack got free with Richard Durbin in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Stanley getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Anthony Didlick hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stanley's zone, Bud Mcjenkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Durbin came out of the goal and Bud Mcjenkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th match minute, Stanley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnabas Skurrie to maneuver through the defense. Bud Mcjenkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Richard Durbin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanley's Richard Durbin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bud Mcjenkins in the 39th minute of play. Larry Playford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooks Cawthorne in the 40th minute of play. Navin Kenack blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Durbin having to make a save. In the 47thth minute of the game Bud Mcjenkins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stanley's Richard Durbin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Bud Mcjenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Navin Kenack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Navin Kenack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Durbin having to interfere. Stanley were furious when Anthony Didlick was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Stanley:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Halifax:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Halifax. Henry Turnor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Richard Durbin. 1-0. In the 70th minute, Duffield Gannan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 71 in the game by Brooks Cawthorne from a close distance when the talented Larry Playford managed to make a qualified save. Halifax's players were relieved. When Larry Coleman fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halifax's protests and gave Larry Coleman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Halifax's Larry Coleman got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Kris Devine fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stanley's protests and gave Kris Devine a yellow card for diving instead. Kris Devine hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Stanley getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Brooks Cawthorne hit a great ball. Richard Durbin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Navin Kenack, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Brooks Cawthorne came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Stanley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brooks Cawthorne couldn't finish the play. Stanley's Brooks Cawthorne got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Halifax fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stanley had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
